Ralf is the original founder of UCG and has been in the telecommunications industry for over 35 years. Ralf has extensive experience in all areas of communications and media services industry, with a successful track record of delivering complex and high volume fulfillment projects. Ralf has hands on experience building the management team and operating systems of UCG to successfully deliver installation and maintenance services nationally for blue-chip companies such as Chorus, NBNCo, Austar, Foxtel, Optus and Telstra.
Ralf provides leadership with a focus on strategic initiatives and operational excellence and is a member of the Board.
Ralf has a Graduate Diploma of Business Management from the University of Queensland and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Iain’s previous Directorships included Director of Melbourne IT where he was the foundation Director of the University of Melbourne established company from 1996 until retiring in 2012, Director of Tele-IP a telecommunications company, Director of AuDA the Australian domain name regulator and Director and subsequent Chair of the Victorian Multimedia Centre Pty Ltd. Ian’s previous appointments include Professor of Information Systems at the University of Melbourne where he was also Assistant Vice-Chancellor (IT) and Registrar (IT) for 10 years.
Iain provides guidance and leadership on governance, IT Strategy and Security. As Chair of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee, Iain provides oversight of the audit and risk management frameworks and controls.
Iain holds degrees from the University of Glasgow in Natural Philosophy and Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics. He has held appointments as Visiting Professor at several prestigious overseas universities and as a Royal Society Fellow.
Mark has over 20 years’ experience in senior management including as CEO/Managing Director of ASX publicly listed Broadcast Services Australia Ltd (BSA), Director of Brumby’s Bakeries Holdings Ltd., non-executive Chairman of Utility Services Group Limited and non-executive Director and CEO for charity organisation Youngcare.
Mark is also currently Chief Operations Manager for the FKG Group.

Dillip has more than 30 years of global experience with large infrastructure projects across New Zealand, Australia, USA, Mexico and India at both strategic and operational levels and has a proven ability to create high performing teams, programme recovery and driving performance that meets and exceeds the expectations of clients.
At UCG Dillip has strategically led the operations for over 7 years where he continues to define and implement business improvement initiatives that improve on operational performance and which provide a solid base for the business to scale.
Dillip has an honours degree in Engineering from the University of Auckland.
Phil has been an information system professional for more than 30 years working on projects for large enterprises in Australia, New Zealand, North America and numerous countries across Asia and the Pacific. Phil started as a Programmer, moved into an Applications Consultant role working on ERP implementations, then into an IT Management role before finding his passion with data analytics.
At UCG Phil has responsibility for the IT infrastructure and business applications, as well as defining and implementing analytical strategies that facilitate a data driven culture within operations and the wider business.
Phil has a Master of Business Analytics from Deakin University, Melbourne.
Corey has worked as a human resources generalist for 25 years and has been UCG’s Head of People & Culture since 2014. Corey’s career has traversed several industries including international hotels and resorts, property development, body corporate management and telecommunication’s engineering and construction.
At UCG Corey provides oversight and leadership of the People & Culture function incorporating recruitment, organisational design, career development and succession planning, along with assisting to manage the relationship between UCG and its Delivery Partners.
Corey has a Degree in Business majoring in human resources from the University of Newcastle and a Diploma in OH&S.
Mark has been working in the health and safety industry for over 12 years in a variety of industries across New Zealand and Australia. Mark is a Fitter Welder by trade and started in the health and safety adult education sector before moving over to industry, where knowledge gained from his work experience allows him to provide practical direction to workers in the field. Mark’s understanding of field requirements shows in the direction he provides to the business’s senior leadership team.
Mark provides strategic HSEQ leadership to the organisation and ensures people and quality are at the forefront of all UCG’s activities.
Mark has Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas in Health & Safety, Quality and Adult Education & Training from both New Zealand and Australia.
Elena has 15 years of experience in Telecommunications, Infrastructure and Financial Services with exposure to both private and public sector stakeholders. Being one of the founding team members of UCG New Zealand, Elena has tasted success in operations, business planning, continuous improvement and leading high performing teams to deliver critical business outcomes.
In her current role, Elena provides leadership to oversee and direct all Service Delivery activity ensuring success of the business end-to-end, from site access to completion.
Elena holds an Honours BA in International Relations from Moscow State Linguistic University and a Masters Degree in International Relations from London Metropolitan University.
Al is an experienced new business, financial modelling, tendering and operations specialist with 20-year career spanning banking, trade, facilities and telecommunication industries, for large corporates such as Bank of New Zealand, Spotless and Downer.
Al joined UCG in early 2021 and now leads the commercial team responsible for business development, contract management and sub-contractor relations. His strategic process leadership approach and discipline have been instrumental in driving UCG’s commercial success.
Al holds a Degree in Business with Management major from Auckland University of Technology, a Diploma in Business Administration and Certification in Warehousing & Logistics.
Grant is a seasoned IT professional with significant leadership experience, a wealth of technical expertise, and a solid background in software development and integration spanning three decades. He has worked in various industries, including telecommunications, healthcare, roading and defence, across the USA, UK and New Zealand.
At UCG Grant leads the software development department, tasked with the development and maintenance of the siteTRAX customer relationship and workflow management systems. His responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum, from steering software product development and quality assurance to overseeing cloud engineering, configuration, training and delivering comprehensive support services.
Furthermore, Grant holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Science and Physics, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Massey University.
